Rachel Murdy joins Lallemand Biofuels & Distilled Spirits

LBDS is very happy to announce that Rachel Murdy has joined Lallemand Biofuels & Distilled Spirits as Technical Service Manager Canada. In this role, she will provide technical support for our “corn to ethanol” Canadian customers and also provide technical support to our customers who are engaged in other fuel ethanol projects in North America. Rachel will report directly to Francois van Zyl, Director of Technical Services, North America and Jayne Kalbfleisch, Technical Team Manager. She will be covering the entire Canadian territory with the support of Andy Ekins, Sales Manager.

Rachel graduated from the University of Guelph with a BSc in Microbiology and an MSc in Plant Agriculture. She completed her PhD in Chemical Engineering at the University of Waterloo where she studied solid state fermentation of corn stover. Prior to joining LBDS, Rachel worked at IGPC Ethanol in Aylmer, Ontario, Canada. She enjoys being outdoors, meeting new people and spending time with her family and friends. She especially loves taking her son to amusement parks and fairs.
