Lallemand Inc. is a privately held Canadian company, founded at the end of the 19th century, specializing in the development, production, and marketing of yeasts and bacteria. The company is divided into two major groups: Yeast Group (based in Montreal, Canada) and Specialties Group (based in Toulouse, France). Administrative offices for the parent company are in Montreal, Canada.

Lallemand Biofuels & Distilled Spirits (LBDS) is the industry leader in supplying fermentation products and value-added services to the Fuel Ethanol and Beverage Distilling industries.  We specialize in the research, development, production and marketing of yeast, yeast nutrients and antimicrobial agents.

 

Main functions 

LBDS is looking for someone who will bring creative solutions and new ideas to existing processes and procedures.  The ideal person will provide effective coordination and execution of order processing for external customers while also supporting our remote Sales and Technical Services team in a variety of ways.

 

²  Responsive order processing for customers domestic and international

²  Provide tracking of shipments and updating customers

²  Communicate frequently with internal/external customers and distribution sites

²  Process international/export documentation (e.g. commercial invoices, etc.)

²  Set priorities, achieve deadlines, and manage multiple tasks at the same time

²  Invoicing responsibilities

²  Inventory control and transfer responsibilities

²  Miscellaneous tasks upon request

 

Required qualifications

 

Technical skills

 ²  Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college and/or five years related customer service experience.

²  Proficient in Microsoft Office; Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

²  Experience with web based ordering/accounting systems

 

General criteria

²  Accuracy and attention to detail

²  Excellent phone persona

²  Excellent verbal and written communication skills

²  Must possess strong analytical skills

Personal strengths required

Great team spirit

Strong problem solving, decision making, critical thinking and negotiations skills

Ability to multi-task a must

Interest in the sciences a plus
